Data Collection

Local Data Processing

The Application operates entirely on your local device:

Document Indexing

• PDF and Word documents are processed locally on your computer
• Text content is extracted and stored in a local SQLite database
• Search indexes are created and maintained on your device
• No document content leaves your device

Data Storage Location

• All data is stored in a local database on your computer
• Database location: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Sagure\ (Windows)
• Only you have access to this data
• The data is not encrypted by default

Data We Access

The Application requires access to:

• File System: To read PDF and Word documents you select
• Local Storage: To create and maintain the search index database

This access is used solely for the core functionality of indexing and searching your documents.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because:

• No data is collected
• All processing happens locally
• No external servers are contacted

Data Retention

• Index data is retained until you manually delete it or uninstall the Application
• Uninstalling the Application may delete the local database
• You can manually delete the database folder at any time

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All data is stored locally on your device
• Delete: Remove the Application or delete the database folder
• Modify: Use the Application's "Reset All" feature to clear all indexes
• Export: Database files are stored in standard SQLite format

Children's Privacy

The Application does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The Application is designed for general document management and does not have age restrictions.

Third-Party Libraries

The Application uses open-source third-party libraries for functionality:

• Flutter: UI framework (Google)
• pdfrx: PDF rendering and text extraction
• SQLite: Local database storage
• Other open-source components: Listed in the application's pubspec.yaml

These libraries operate locally and do not transmit data externally.

Security

While the Application does not transmit data:

• Local database files are stored without encryption
• You are responsible for securing your device and user account
• We recommend using Windows BitLocker or similar full-disk encryption for sensitive documents

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be:

• Posted in the Application's repository
• Included in Application updates
• Effective immediately upon posting

Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
